Psychoeducational Programs
At Mindful Inceptions, our virtual small groups provide a supportive and interactive space where participants can develop practical coping skills, strengthen emotional awareness, and connect with others who may be experiencing similar challenges.
Groups are structured, educational, and skills-based. They are designed to help participants better understand their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships while practicing healthy strategies they can use in everyday life.
All small groups are offered virtually.

Our Group Approaches
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or CBT, helps participants understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. Group members learn how to recognize unhelpful thinking patterns, challenge negative thoughts, and develop healthier responses to stressful situations.
CBT-based activities may include coping-skill development, emotional regulation exercises, problem-solving, goal setting, and practicing new ways of thinking.
Expressive Arts Therapy

Expressive Arts Therapy, or EAT, allows participants to explore thoughts and emotions through creative activities. Art, writing, music, storytelling, movement, and other forms of expression may be incorporated into the group experience.
Participants do not need to consider themselves artistic. The focus is on self-expression, personal insight, emotional processing, and connection rather than artistic ability.
Movement and Mind-Body Activities

Movement-based activities help participants recognize how emotions and stress may be experienced within the body. Groups may incorporate gentle stretching, breathing exercises, mindfulness, grounding techniques, yoga-inspired movement, and other body-based practices.
All activities are designed to be accessible and can be modified for different comfort levels and physical abilities.
A Supportive Virtual Environment
Our virtual groups are designed to be welcoming, inclusive, and respectful. Group sizes are kept small to encourage participation while helping members feel comfortable and supported.
Participants are encouraged to engage at their own pace. Although sharing and interaction are welcomed, no one is pressured to disclose personal information before they feel ready.
Are Small Groups Right for You or Your Child?
Small groups may be helpful for individuals who would benefit from additional emotional support, structured skill-building, positive peer interaction, or opportunities to practice coping strategies in a supportive setting.
Before joining a group, participants or caregivers may complete a brief consultation to help determine whether the group is an appropriate fit.
